Three Hills Open Day

On Saturday 31st August Three Hills held their annual open day.  This was well supported by a variety of our sports clubs including hockey, cricket, athletics and karate as well as some charities and small businesses.  While the hockey club ran their annual kick off the season club day, the cricket club 2nd XI had their final home match of the season and ran out winners against Bickley Park.  Folkestone Invicta youth had a range of pre-season friendly games as well to prepare for their new season.

The day ended with Shepway Sports Trust organising a football match against the Kent Action Refugee Network in honour of the Peace Field twinning project.  The pitch was being named in honour of Walter Tull, the first black professional football and the first black captain to serve in the British Army in WW1 and twinned with Flanders Peace Field.
